They are seeking an experienced Office 365 consultant who can help our customers migrate to Office 365 and onboard new applications and services. A prospective candidate should have deep technical knowledge of Microsoft cloud technologies, consulting experience, troubleshooting skills, and a passion for using technology to solve business problems.


What will you be doing?

How You Will Contribute:

  • Assess Office 365 readiness, including identities, boundary security, and networking
  • Configure identity and access for Office 365, including:
    • Active Directory object remediation
    • Directory synchronization with customized synchronization rules
    • Active Directory Federation Services
    • Pass-Through Authentication
    • Licensing assignment automation
  • Migrate applications and services to Office 365, including:
    • Office 365 ProPlus
    • Messaging (from on-premises Exchange or other mail systems)
    • SharePoint
    • Skype for Business
  • Plan and deploy Teams, OneDrive, Yammer, and other applications for improved collaboration
  • Troubleshoot and help resolve project-related support issues
  • Secure Office 365 with Conditional Access policies, Threat Management (Anti-Spoofing, Anti-Malware, Anti-Spam, DKIM), and Azure AD risky sign-ins
  • Deploy Intune to manage Windows and mobile devices
  • Discuss, plan, and implement Data Classification labels
  • Use Microsoft Information Protection labels and policies to protect sensitive data types
  • Configure data loss prevention (DLP) for default and custom sensitive data types
  • Plan and implement data retention policies
  • Conduct compliance and eDiscovery searches
  • Manage risks with Compliance Manager and Secure Score
  • Assess existing Office 365 tenants and identify ways to improve the configuration to mitigate business risks and enable services to solve business problems
  • Deploy on-premises Exchange
  • Plan and implement Office 365 tenant migrations using third-party migration tools
  • Plan and implement Active Directory and messaging consolidations for mergers and acquisitions
  • Deploy services in Azure
  • Work with clients to improve Azure governance policies and processes

What’s Needed for Success:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Microsoft Azure and Office365 services
  • Certifications (Preferred): MCSD (Azure Solutions Architect) or MCSE (Cloud Platform and Infrastructure), Microsoft MCSA in Windows Server 2012R2 or 2016, Microsoft MCSA in Office 365 and SharePoint Online, Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working with a variety of clients, other consultants, and HW/SW vendors
  • The ability to multi-task and work across a range of projects and issues with various timelines and priorities
  • Very detail-oriented in planning, implementation, documentation, and follow-up
  • Desire to learn; independently and on the job
  • The ability to work completely independently or with a team
  • Reliable, on-time, personable, and customer-focused
  • Poised and patient during onsite visits and phone-based tech support
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution in a computer science, information system or related field
  • Willingness to go above and beyond
